Knock it the f*** off. Oh, so it's better to be a team full of p***yes who get mugged while their teammates watch waiting for the refs to handle it.

It’s better not to go overboard with gritty guys who can’t score and instead get or keep players who can score. Since scoring is what wins.

I think they should use the rest of this game with a scrimmage mindset so they can practice trying to keep the Panthers under 6 goals on Monday.

I'm going to help us count the meaningless ones by posting that after every meaningless one.
I don't understand this mentality. Like do you look at a bad pass and pretend that if it doesn't directly lead to a goal against or a turnover that it is inconsequential? A bad pass to ruin a clean breakout, can hurt a scoring chance, can cause a team to not be able to change and indirectly cause a goal against. I'm not trying to be argumentative, but I don't understand the idea of dismissing the importance of possession in a league that has evolved to putting a premium on possession of the puck. Also add in the fact that many teams run offensive schemes directly off faceoffs in the O zone and I just don't understand the idea that possession and the ability to negative O zone faceoff schemes or the ability to run your own doesn't matter.

This is so frustrating because the Rangers are actually controlling play and gave up a crummy ppg on a pretty soft call. And then had a goal called back. Not to mention our guys injuring each other. Just everything goes wrong. Not a single break yet. Or recently, actually. Feels like the Mets this past season. “It has to turn around soon, right?”

The Fox goal was incredibly obviously offsides, and Blais should have been smart about dragging his foot, but man...that was just a filthy attempt from Fox

You don't need to defend Blais. That rule is garbage. But Blais really could have been more aware on the offsides. He was way off and no one was around him. It happens. But it wasn't great on his part. I think most of us probably saw the offsides as it happened. Frankly shocked how badly it was missed. It was not one of those close calls. In any case, Blais really did not have a great period in regards to his on-ice awareness. Can Chytil take blame as well? Sure. But this is one of the knocks on Blais from Blues fans. He needs to find consistency in his game. He's playing not great hockey right now.
I actually don't think it was that far offsides with the updated rule in 2021.

It’s not about defending Blais, who has been a non factor for a while, like most of the guys.

It’s about the hive mind outrage being parroted by every poster. Offsides happen every period of every game by every team. This wasn’t Fox and Blais in alone and he blew it by being offsides. If the refs called it right it’s a routine offside that happened countless times per day in the NHL. It just so happens that significantly later, unrelated to the zone entry, we ended up scoring. If the play was blown dead when it happened, no one would find it to be an egregious offsides by Blais. And as far as the Chytil thing goes, I just felt after watching several replays that it was amateur hour puck watching from Chytil who skated straight into Blais and I thought it was somewhat pathetic.

This team is really not so great at the forechecking/coming in waves style -- at least not yet. I wonder if we are going to become a counterattack team ultimately.

Sometimes, we don’t know how deep the rabbit hole goes.

we’re thinking we’re at the gates of heaven, and really it’s the cube from hell raiser

Like the AV years? All of them?

I'm just sick of reading "We STILl pREteNDING ThAt fAceoFf wIns dOn't MATTeR" after each of the ten goals a season like that one.

We need a scapegoat with Geo sitting though

They are SO MAD it's comical. Someone in the HF GDT said "THATS LOUDER THAN WHENEVER THE RANGERS PLAY AT HOME!" what an idiot. Some Pens fan said that.
The thing is, it’s not like Fox said ‘I hate Calgary and their fans’. He was just dead-set on playing for his hometown team and was willing to wait to become a free agent to do it. Carolina fans don’t do this, do they?

Rangers definitely aren't controlling play.

I mean, kinda. Or the Roger Neilsen years. Shesterkin is so good if we clamped down and always had guys back, we'd hardly give up any goals and we have more than enough talent to score off the counter attack/
