Situationally they definitely do. Broadly speaking not as much as someone like Joe talks like they do, so maybe not overall percentage.

I'd like to see some sort of stat tracked that is 'high leverage situational' faceoff percentage. PK,PP, off an icing, late in period, score dependent. Strip out the meaningless ones and then we could have a stat that actually definitely matters.
I'm going to help us count the meaningless ones by posting that after every meaningless one.

Sammy Blais is the best player on the opposing team. Taking out Rangers and disallowing Rangers goals. He's been great for the other team.
They need all the help they can get, the Rangers don't look bad, and we only get better as the game goes on. Wait til the third period, we will come out guns blazin. Shesterkin will steal this game.

We are down 1 - but we played a good road period. And that Rooney penalty was not a great call. The refs in general (not just Rangers games) have been calling just stupid penalties early in the season. I think the NHL purposely does that early in the year to make sure scoring is up. But it's annoying.

On the PP goal we did give up, I couldn't tell why this happened, but it's very odd that it was just Zib covering netfront suddenly. I think 1 of our D must have chased out of position.

When Tampa got swept by the Blue Jackets, I think it was game 4 when the Jackets had like a 2 minute cycle and scored on it. And then they called the goal back on a challenge because the entry was offsides like 1min 30 seconds before the goal lol. f***ing BS that stuff.

They created an issue out of a play (the Duchene goal) that happens every 10 years. And now it just ruins it so much.
And now half the time a team scores your have to hold your breath to see if it's actually a goal. It's so frustrating and sucks the life out of games

Panarin is a TOTAL NO SHOW

TIME TO SEND HIM A MESSAGE JERRY
He’s either injured, or did absolutely nothing to prepare for this season.
He still puts up points, but I’ve never seen him so careless with his passing and just with the puck overall on his stick.
He’s got to get his head out of his ass.
And please Drury, trade his coat tail rider....
I think him getting a letter on his chest has made him 50% more less likable.
Wonder how bad chytil is injueed?

Knock it the f*** off. Oh, so it's better to be a team full of p***yes who get mugged while their teammates watch waiting for the refs to handle it.

Besides Reaves driving Kylington once.. the only hits were Blais running teammates…..

I’m not usually complaining, but we look just as soft as last year. Fine we might have someone that will throw a punch if shit goes down, but we ain’t relying on gritty forechecking at all, all finesse passing and overlaps.

Chill mom

They can't maintain any type of sustained offense or possession because they hold onto the puck too long. They need to move the puck more often and quicker. Every rush they get is at an end of a shift where they were pinned in their zone. The PP is infuriating to watch.

Chytil knocked himself out skating around with Lindros vision. Blais was offside, sure, but the rule is dumb as currently written and enforced. The offside play should have directly contributed to the goal or it shouldn’t be relevant. In this case, Blais offsides would be a routine offside if it was whistled when it happened. That fact that significantly later we ended up with a goal has nothing to do with the offsides. It’s not like Blais blew a 2 on 1 directly ruining the goal. It was a routine offside the refs missed. The goal is unrelated, and the rule should be amended for these situations.

You don't need to defend Blais. That rule is garbage. But Blais really could have been more aware on the offsides. He was way off and no one was around him. It happens. But it wasn't great on his part. I think most of us probably saw the offsides as it happened. Frankly shocked how badly it was missed. It was not one of those close calls. In any case, Blais really did not have a great period in regards to his on-ice awareness. Can Chytil take blame as well? Sure. But this is one of the knocks on Blais from Blues fans. He needs to find consistency in his game. He's playing not great hockey right now.

Stupid Nemeth left the middle and went to the corner. Zib saw what was developing and tried to rush to the netfront, but to late
