Line rushes had Buch on Chytil’s LW with Lettieri going back in to RW. I still don’t like Buch at LW at all, but at least McLeod won’t sandbag Chytil’s offensive potential.

I've recently made a bit of a profession switch, which has completely changed my daily hours from morning person to night person. It's got to be the first time in a long time I'm happy for a Cali road trip where games start at 10:30. I can actually watch about 2 periods of live hockey instead of recordings and already knowing the result.

Needless to say, I'm excited for the game even if it's a shit show.

This is a strange take to me. Lettieri has been tracked as one of the better puck carriers for zone entries on our team and he had a really strong year in the AHL last season. He’s only turning 24 in February and probably will round out as a AAAA player who can be a good fourth liner. We saw last year that he’s willing to shoot the puck and be a bit gritty. If we can turn him into a Colton Sceviour type of player, I’d be thrilled.

Rewarding players like Namestnikov who have earned it and benching guys like Buchnevich who haven't is what we asked for last year so it's hard to be upset. I always thought Namestnicov should have been on the top line with kreider and Zibanajad as hes had success with better players on his line before. I guess this is ok too.
