I feel like Gaborik gets mugged more-so than other players because he has a soft reputation. He gets tripped up and boarded more than any player I see.

My girl texts me that she's putting the game on now and I respond with a subtle "Just in time for the end of the period :p"

The rangers set up on the PP isn't the issue. They always have momentum until the other team clears and then they can never get started again. Their power play breakout of their own zone is one of the worse I've ever seen. THAT is the real problem with the PP. They can't get back in and get started. Other teams seem to have no issue breaking into the zone but the rangers seem to like to force pressure at the blue line and then dump and chase, lose the puck and start the process all over again... It's extremely painful to watch.

So much for Brad Richards.

They need to just toss Nash on the powerplay and have him bring in the puck every time. Nobody else knows how to cross the blueline with the puck still on their stick.

Hell man we go play the best team in the conference in their building and leave the 1st leading? That's a great period. End of discussion.

Once they cross the blueline, they'll shoot the puck wide.

works for me, let Nash just carry the puck into the zone all the time. he's the only one who can

i want nash or dz to start being the primary puck carrier during the pp rush up the ice. richards is sometimes too lackadaisical or he'll dump it with absolutely no chance of retrieval.

BINGO, we have a winner.

Seriously. Maybe a turnover or two that I'd like to have back, but in general that period was about what you'd expect against a team as good as the Bs.
