It's a combination of him not really being ready and having nobody to play him with.

No. He's just not ready. If anything playing him too much has cost the Sabres some goals and perhaps a couple of games. He's been brutal on the power play when he got shifts there, too.

Unrelated (or perhaps somewhat related) note...but if the Sabres were even decent on faceoffs they'd probably be in a playoff spot right now. Sooo many goals against off of draws.

I'm convinced that this team has no idea to play hockey. I spend 20 minutes a period shouting, "Get the ****ing puck out of the zone." They can't handle a forecheck worth a ****.

not at all imo. JT Miller scored 2 goals on the 4th line for NYR last night. step up if youre worthy.

it is what it is. Grigs and his handling is the least of my concerns at this point.

This whole tough to play against thing is BS. Islanders aren't afraid of these guys and we aren't punishing them on the forecheck. The opposite is happening as they're finishing every check.
