It's become pretty clear the Sabres made a mistake keeping Grigorenko up. He's just not ready.

I can't see how giving the puck away every other shift and watching guys skate by him in the blue line is better for his development than ending the year with a playoff run in juniors followed by playing in the AHL against lesser competition after that run is over.

They could still send him down, just a a year will be burned from his contract

They only kept him because they had nobody else.

He's made a few poor decisions tonight but has looked better lately IMO. Not a good showing from him tonight so far.

Top line + Sekera and Weber had a nightmare of a shift in their own end there.
