Got speared in the nuts at a beer league game tonight. Good times. Have felt nauseous for the two hours since it happened.

I'm too old for this shit.
I quit about 5 years ago....was starting to get too many freak injuries....groin pulls, massive sprains etc. No nad smashes though...that would put me over the top...

The lower divisions at our rinks are complete shit shows with idiots doing dangerous shit constantly. I play on a B team at a rink and its very competitive, much less stupid shit.

This is pretty unusual in our league.

It' funny to me how the tension changed in our games when a lot of players on our team, and in the league in general, became dads.

This incident was completely unnecessary; I was just moving a guy in front of our net. He didn't like it and retaliated. :dunno:

Don't feel so good almost 20 hours later. Blah.

Luckily no. My stuff is all very old (93-99ish) and immune to those things. It's stuff that's mostly valuable because it's rare, not because people use them to play at their weekly whatever. And WOTC put it in writing that they can't ever reprint them, so unless the game dies, it only goes up.

It's just worth too much not to sell at this point. I'd rather cash out, invest in low risk assets, and stop stressing about whether Hasbro's greed will kill it.

I have a bunch of rare old cards in my two decks from when it first came out and I was playing.

I just don't know where they are.

93-96. I know that I had several dual lands, for instance. Mana battery. Stuff.

Revised duals in NM are ~300-800ish. Yes, Revised. Prices of course go up if they’re Unlimited or earlier.

You should find them and PM me pictures of everything, not just what you think is important. There are a ton of Commons and Uncommons worth decent money too.

If you really have cards from 1993, that’s a completely different animal. I think every NM Beta card is $40+ at this point, including the completely useless commons.

I'd love to. I've been looking for a decade. I should still have them, but I am absolutely out of ideas as to where they are

I just started playing this season, so only ~4 games. He’s been playing center on our line for the last 2 or 3 games. First time we played together, he set me up with a phenomenal scoring chance… do it again today, Cody.

I just started playing again after 10+ years off, so I am much rustier than I’d like to be. Skating is okay, and positionally okay, but hands are stones.

Cody is a good player.

I only contacted the ones that do. I also have a buddy who runs a large volume store where he would sell on consignment, but I can’t expect him to sell all of it that way.

This is going to be tricky because a lot of the stuff is unique. For example, one of my Beta Black Lotuses has a sketch of a guy smelling the flower and signature on it done by the original artist who has since passed. I have no idea where to even start with that. Without the sig and art, it’s probably 50-60. It won’t grade well because someone drew on it. But it’s worth some kind of premium.
Man, I wish I kept my stuff now. I started at 4th edition, bought a bit of this and that, ended up with a few moxes and a black lotus. I had a full set of Dual lands....which I sold for like 500 in 1996...they are worth like 8k or something now.

I've made a litany of bad financial decisions over the years.

I really loved MTG. There is an app you can sideload on Android called Forge. Its great. All the MTG fun, none of the expense.
