Eating the frustration/depression away SadgeI spent a grand total of 5 months in IT/HelpDesk two decades ago. Those painful memories meant every time I had a problem that required them, I walked in instead of calling, brought food with me, and openly described it as hazard pay.
We held a training class for Dr's in the mid 90s, preparing to roll out a new system. At least one Dr per class could not understand why the wired mouse would not work as they waved it eye hold.I've been doing help desk/field agent work now for over a decade. You run into a whole load of stupid in that amount of time.
I walked into work and someone on the phone with IT. Mind you, when I get to work, it's after hours. Our IT support is gone, and all our calls get routed to UPenn hospital (they're the mothership).
It's seemingly so worse post-COVID. I think it's gonna be a mark in history as a point when general intelligence dropped, as of no fault of the people who happened to get it.
Ahh, I see you had your fill of ID -10 - T errors.I spent a grand total of 5 months in IT/HelpDesk two decades ago. Those painful memories meant every time I had a problem that required them, I walked in instead of calling, brought food with me, and openly described it as hazard pay.

dude. wtf. That's something you would do if its like about to run over a child or something, not just randomly running down a pretty empty street not doing anything.
Crying over split milk?
