I have pretty damn thick skin and I've moved off because the user experience went to complete shit for that and other reasons. Just let people do what they want without being a dick.

All musicals? No Danny Kaye movies? No Singing In The Rain?

Almost all. WW&tCF is fine as long as I can leave during his mom's song. My wife's favorite movie is The Nightmare Before Christmas, so I've seen that so many times it doesn't bother me at all.

No Beatles movies. No Gene Kelly. No The Umbrellas of Cherbourg. No other Disney.

Let me rephrase. Do you consider that a musical?

I'm thoroughly anti musical with the exception of the Beatles movies, the Wall (which I don't really consider a musical) and the Disney classics/bangers

What I've come to realize through the years is I'm not necessarily anti musical, I'm anti theatre, which does offer a lot of crossover, but it isn't exactly the same. This may have been influenced by being cheated on twice by theatre people lol.

I went to see the movie, Across the Universe, in the theater...and walked out no more than a half hour in. One of maybe two movies I left early in my life. It was made doubly awful by the car-commercial-ish covers done by other performers. I'm getting angry just remembering this experience so I'll stop here.

It's mostly the Broadway-style voice affectation that I absolutely cannot do. I enjoy plays just fine. If you go back far enough, I'm even ok with the Vaudeville style of talk-singing. The half of Miss Saigon I sat through nearly killed me. I bribed my way out of the the theater at Intermission.

If anyone uses AI LLMs like ChatGPT - worth checking out Deepseek - i think it is chinesed created but its open source and allows what feels like unlimited prompts...the R1 release competes or exceeds performance of ChatGPT and Claude AI. I use it for writing complex Wordpress plugins for example and it whips them up off my prompts in a matter of seconds

I  think I saw TNBC once, also at the behest of a love interest. I don't remember any of it.

I'm not a musical guy by any means, especially some of the stuff you're describing. And anything that is all singing? Yea, I'm good on that. The ones I do like are ones I grew up on because my parents enjoyed them.

I used to post on the "Official" NHL site. The Flyers had a pretty active board there from what I heard. I think a server migration had caused a lot of people to leave when they lost all their shit. By the time I started there, I think it was maybe half of what it was, and it just steadily declined. By the time I left, you could only get to the board via bookmark. There wasn't even a link on the main site. I probably found this place by googling Flyers message board lol

I was there for years. It was around the time when I think three different site owners died within like a 15-month period. I think one was PhilaPhans (Dave Snyder) and I can't remember the other. It was Ogie who died at O&B, I think.
