@VladDrag @Young Sandwich

In the advance stages of planning a trip to Pinehurst over Labor Day weekend. Not going to play the Pinehurst courses, but the other ones in the area, Southern Pines, Mid Pines, Tobacco Road and a couple others.
Super jealous. I haven't had a chance to play anywhere fun in a long time. My golfing group was thinking about doing a long golfing weekend in the poconos, and doing some type of tournament. But, that's probably going to be 2025.

I don't know how I was able to pull this one off after going to Bandon in September, but the wife didn't put up any fight. It probably helps that her best friend's husband is joining this time as well. Her and her friend were texting last night and talking about how much fun we're going to have lol. Surprisingly it's a pretty affordable trip. Im booking through Talamore and for four nights and five rounds of golf, free breakfast each morning, and a free BBQ dinner one night, it's about $1200pp. A fraction of what the trip to Bandon cost.

The Poconos has some good courses, Jack Frost being my favorite. It's a great place to get away with a group of friends, play some golf and throw back a few beverages.

Damn you. Set up a live stream of your trip so I can live vicariously through you.
I'll Instagram live the entire trip. You'll get to see me shank my irons first hand.

The UNC Chapel Hill course is a good track. Def recommend it.
I've wanted to play the NC St. course, that one looks really nice as well. I've seen some pictures of the UNC course, think it's called Finley, or something like that, but never really looked into it. Maybe we'll make a stop and play one of those on the way in or out

It’s been years since I played it but my friend played it last year while visiting Pinehurst and liked it.

In the last month she has played Torrey Pines and Bandon. Living the good life lol

ha! That was a real funny one. Super hilarious. Since you put a wink face and a "hah" it is totally a fine thing to say to someone.

Way I read that way you came with some sneaky passive aggressive snark, I just returned the favour a little more directly.

If you’d like I can delete it, or feel free to say whatever you wish back.

Man, and I thought I was living the good life doing Bandon and Pinehurst* in back to back years. I'd love to get back and play Bandon again. If I do, I think I'd do March or April. In March, if you play 36 a day, it comes out to like $120 per round, which isn't terrible

*Won't be playing any of the actual Pinehurst courses while down there

Who are the Sweden experts here? I'm going to a conference in Stockholm in a couple of weeks and want to know if I should be looking at specific hotels, restaurants, places to buy a Tre Kronor jersey, etc. I won't have much time to do things other than attend the conference sadly, but I'll have a half day to myself.

@Captain Dave Poulin or @BigToe I'd guess. I've only been to Malmo so I can't help you with Stockholm.

A must do......visit an Ikea in Sweden itself and imbibe on Lingonberry while relaxing in a classic poang chair. Now that is really immersing yourself in the culture IMO...

Her and her partner are pretty highly ranked in the amateur female Oregon golf scene. They play Bandon every year in a tournament and travel with a group all over the place visiting courses
