Uggh.....bad day for fires today due to hot temps(97F).

12 fires around the city since noon
4 of the them brush fires in wooded areas
1 a historic tennis/sailing club that caught on fire during construction
The 2 big fires nearest me, one is 50% contained, one 80%
Then the biggest fire going on in Province continues to grow...20,000 hectares

AI brah...

Military training AI to operate drones, but using humans as a kill-switch before any attacks. AI realizes the human operator is a hinderance in the operation of the drone, so it targets and 'kills' the human operator.

Military then updates it to be like "BAD DRONE. DON'T KILL HUMAN OPERATOR" so the drone then decides to destroy the communications tower that relays the instructions of the human operator so it can function unhindered by the human operator stopping it.

If this is true, then they're missing the far easier solution of "disobedience costs all your points."

But it's also probable that they didn't do that deliberately to see where it would take things.

Why? I loved the ending.
Sorry been busy

I didn't love the Hank/Fuches resolution. The movie at the end was sorta weird, I don't know fully what the point was? I guess a continued FU to Hollywood, and the distortion of the truth.

Was still funny, not the worst ending of a show.

My car died about 50 feet away from a stop light today on my way to work lol. Luckily I have AAA and they towed it for me and that my dad was near by to pick me up. All of the lights/symbols popped up on my dashboard at the same time and the car just powered down and died. Fortunately, a cop blocked the way to the lane where the car died so no one could accidentally rear end me.

Tow truck driver said it’s probably the alternator hopefully that’s all it is. The car is 16 years old and has been running well for awhile.

Latvia pulled an upset over Brazil in women's beach volleyball. Great final point. Latvian sports exists to shit on the big teams.
That reminds of when the Lithuanian men's basketball team won bronze at the '92 Olympics. Lithuania was newly independent after the breakup of the Soviet Union and didn't have enough money to support their team so the Grateful Dead (of all people) sent them a few suitcases full of cash and these cool outfits.
