London is only a 7 hour flight I think, but when you factor in time change, it becomes 12, which means he basically lost the entire day. You almost have to take an overnight flight when you're flying overseas as to not waste any precious vacation time.

True. The easiest way to immediately fight jetlag for me during my two ATL-LON trips was flying at 10pm from Atlanta, sleep through the whole night and wake up at like 10am or 11am in London which made all the following mornings way easier

Yeah, 7 hour flight. 4 hour time difference now. The lady that sat next to me said they were in line to switch their flight, but it was the same flight, just the next day, so I would have lost an entire day. Plus, the ticket was for an economy seat

Ok so that’s about $100 an hour. That’s a hell of a temp job salary if you ask me. I’d be down for that in a heart beat.

Sure, if you ignore the fact that he may have already had plans for today. He had asked separately about tickets for a premiere league game. Had he gotten those, that's $200 of that gone. Then there's the hotel room he paid for but didn't use...

Thus also ignores the fact thay its a $1200 voucher for the airlines, which means he's really jist getting a future credit on a trip he may never actually take.

Yeah, that stuff isn't as bad - or at least, not as known. Airlines are an absolute garce though. Need millions of government funding so they can understaff their operations and wildly inconvenience the people who gave them said money.
Just like when I was in finance.... never dealt with the public. Cargo isn’t bad at all. The international flights can be a pain because there is a lot more delays. My main gig in Pdx is the Amazon contract though so it is a steady, consistent schedule.

Dealing with cherry season during the summer when shipping non stop to Asia is an entirely different beast though

Just put an order in for Longhots, firecracker, ghost, scorpion, reaper, purple ufo, and rainbow sweet bell peppers.
I really hope this years yield is better than last years.

Finance to pilot. Interesting career change.

Added sand to the turtles tank, now the whole damn thing is a white cloud. The sand is normal sand color, not some fancy white sand. I can only see maybe 1/3rd of the way deep, so I can’t organize the decorations. RIP.
