No one wants to hear that. These guys have lifetime exemptions...they won cups. Cooper and JBB are untouchable

Nah. Even BB might get run out of NE soon.

No one is exempt from what have you done for me lately pro sports these days.

Something has to be done now or the season is beyond pointless. Its literally playoffs or bust since they won't be bad enough to get a top 10 pick (protected) and will be playing for nothing

Good luck with that.

Belichick still got 4 years of post Brady.

You just don't fire coaches like Coop.

Vinik will have to fire JBB first...

Possibly. Derek Lalonde was no doubt a great up and comer who earned his way to Detroit

Also interesting to see this from this week

But otherwise the rest of the staff is intact. Zettler, Coop, Halpern, Frantz Jean, Nigel Kirwan, Brian Garlock. Unless Blashill is that much of an anchor

I would question the leadership too. Is this the toll of missing 2 alternate captains in Perry, and Killorn, plus a very very vocal guy like Maroon? I always thought they'd keep 1 of Maroon or Perry for just that reason.

I'd be fine with keeping Coop but firing the rest of the coaching staff. There needs to be some kind of shakeup or change at this point because it just isn't working anymore.

I think this is understated. They should've held on to Maroon, imo.

I'd throw McD on that list of leaders as well.

Might be time to try and throw out one of those anchor contracts we handed out to Sergy/Cerny/Celery

Absolutely accurate. It was next level for DL (for me anyway) when Bowness left.

I didn’t think DL being gone would have this big of an impact, but considering the wee bit of favoritism of having his buddy brought on staff, it’s extremely noticeable that these guys just do not listen to Blashill. At all.

You can see it during timeouts, you can see it during other segments of the broadcast.

I doubt that JFBB would have the nads to relieve staff in the middle of a season unless he shit-canned everybody but if he somehow were to jettison Blashill, then JFBB would go to JBMFBB status in a second

Blashill needs to be gone tonight.

I'm not saying it would happen soon, but I think if we continue trending downward into next season it might get a little spicy. Like it's been said/implied, you'd see assistants get the boot way before Coop.

I did this for us.

JBB doesn't have the faintest clue how to fix this...he was handed a Ferrari and ran that ish into the ground. Wheels came off last yr. There's smoke coming from the engine.

JBB has no clue how to fix this mess
