Decent tempo to the Flyers/Rangers game.

God I hate the Instigator penalty. Both guys dropped the gloves at the same time, same as the last game vs the Bruins. Dumb penalty.

Either get rid of it or introduce a 'retaliation' penalty, or something like that. The idea of only tagging one guy - when both agree to engage - doesn't make sense.

Brought up the same point then, the instigator penalty is changing to further supress fighting. Unbelievable!

Boyle is retiring, Girardi and Staal need to go though. I think Girardi has a lot of solid hockey left in him but I don't think he can do it on a rangers team with AV as coach. Staal has yet to recover from the injuries he ahs taken. he has put in some decent stretches of hockey but no consistency at all.

People like to crow when a team that "shouldn't" be winning because of something unsustainable like shooting percentage or shots against/shots for, start losing and fit back into the model or predictable wins/loses.
