I wonder what you guys expect Budaj to do? We are a tire fire defensively the last few nights. The only reason it wasn't 3-1 after 1 last night is because Vasi is a top tier goalie.

And he's playing fine - he has had no chance on any of those goals. It's like you guys have never watched hockey before.

I think it's pretty obvious that we're down 4 because we can't clear the puck on the PK, terrible freaking horrible passing and a bad pinch by a rookie defenseman. Also, reffing. That said, it would've been nice if the goalie had made one of those "impossible saves". Unlikely sure, but would've been the boost we need right now.

I'd maybe switch either Stammer and Point or Kuch and I'm not sure who plays the right side? Is it Yanni. Could be good to give Kuch someone who really isn't quiting in Point and give Stamer some grit in Yanni.

And Sunny you're being dense - he's gotten tail ends of B2Bs exclusively. Not saying he's a great goaltender by any stretch, but he's making the stops you'd expect a backup to make.

How some people are moaning about budaj

1st goal was a break away and was put top shelf.

2 & 3 goal was 5 on 3

4th goal same as first but unfortunately for budaj Kessel was on the break away he was never going to stop that. Think some fans are expecting us to have a Patrick Roy goalie as are back up.

I just don't think you can remotely expect a backup to make those saves - there's a reason he's a backup and not a starter. Vasi probably saves the first breakaway and maybe makes an impossible stretch on one of the other goals - that's why he's our #1.

He's a backup goalie. We need to have more realistic with our expectations of him.
