"You just want good PR" lol
I mean yeah... that's kind of the whole point of PR
You can gain good PR in innumerable ways. Doing so by advertising how nice you are to veterans when you could easily just let them know directly.. it's kinda disgusting to me. It cheapens the message, it makes me doubt their sincerity, it makes me wonder if they're just profiting off the existence of war. Totally off topic, I know, but I just hate that sorta thing. Support cancer research because it's important and you can, support the vets because you think it's the right thing to do- making a whole ad about it horrendously cheapens the message and basic human empathy imo. Like, if I help a buddy out with money and then brag about it- do I really care about my bro, or am I just looking for social capital? Anyways.. cancer is a bit different because the ads can raise awareness and cause change, but the vets thing obviously happened recently this year and every time I question if direct messages were even bothered with. /rant.
