I like how we have these really heart-touching stories of people with/dying from cancer, and it gets turned into this crazy corporate thing that is incredibly hard to take seriously at all. Like wtf? Does anyone else feel like we, as a species, are totally doomed?

Anyways...

Im getting Bills vibes tonight, stop playing not to lose please and just score 4 goals this period, Ullmark looks good he can handle it

Yeah, I haven't been super-impressed by the team playing against Ottawa. Granted, Ottawa is coming off a win, but still, they're not a good team.

Dahlin is having one heck of a sophomore slump and he's still on pace for 50+ points. Could be worse.

Was at the Bills game in cleveland, they must have had 6 or 7 different "veterans day" segments during stoppages, it's just so incredibly forced

OT, but since you guys are talking about cancer, I'd suggest reading The Emperor of All Maladies by Siddhartha Mukherjee if you're interested in the history and progress of cancer/treatment.

On-topic: I'd like to see Eichel fight for a hattrick tonight.

How does Jack have two goals and an assist? That is some serious voodoo

I f***ing hate when restaurants advertise their free meals to veterans for veterans day- there are ways you can get the word out without clearly trying to gain public respect off your oh so charitable move. I don't really agree with our blind support of the military in the first place, but that's another matter- corporations could just ask for the VA's mailing list and send out info directly to soldiers, instead they make it this big altruistic ad and it's like- nah, f*** you, you just want good PR. Disgusting.

Anyways... with that bit of negativity outta the way, lighten up people! They winning. Not pretty, not a world beating performance, but they're handling a team they should handle. If they look like crap in the third I'll be peeved, but as long as they keep controlling the play I'll let the sloppiness slide as they get back in the win column.
