I think this Ekblad kid is going to be a pretty okay hockey player.

I think he is going to be a hell of a Dman. You can see why he got all the hype at an early age. The scary thing is, at 18 years of age, he is going to have a lot of time to really improve over the years.

To be honest he's surprised everyone really. He was OK in preseason and in the rookie/d-camps. Then the season came along and he flipped a switch, incredible poise and skill. Hell, the orginal plan was to play him with Mitchell on the 3rd pairing but he's noe with Campbell playing 20+ mins a night. At 18, there really isn't a comparable to what he is doing right now.

We've been fantastic ever since the NJ game. However, this team NEEDS a scorer. It would be beneficial for everybody. I can see us going after a potential UFA like Foligno.

None really, only noticeable mistake was a NZ turnover that lead to a goal vs COL. Otherwise, he has cleaned up any mistake he makes and has been stellar otherwise. If you have Gamecenter or Hockeystreams watch the OT period vs the Caps. He just has these extra gears to elevate his game.

Its 17 celsius with a cold wind! As a fin I know that its not really cold but it feels cold when you live in Florida

Nothing, absolutely, nothing at all! Everyone on defense has been excellent this year so far, but you can make a case for him being our best Dman so far. He has been that good. The only thing Id like to see is his minutes dropped just a bit. I just dont know how his conditioning is going to be come that 60 game mark.
