If/when they run into troubles they can just turn it off and turn it back on, right?I don't have specific knowledge of Twitter's practices, but the chances are quite high that something will be missed. That's just a fact of maintaining an org of this scale. The question is how important are the mistakes?
And of course it's all complicated by the current lack of institutional knowledge. For example, when they pulled one unrelated feature offline, it broke 2-factor authentication. Luckily it was a reasonably easy fix. The next one may be too. Or not. I wouldn't trust anyone who says they know.
You have an idea of what goes into all of this. Security budgets are almost always shoestring. Sometimes downright performative. Then lop off most of your manpower and everything you're imagining is probably happening right now. The people left are overworked and mistakes compound. How many of those become public-facing is impossible to predict.

Only if they cross their fingers and say please. Computers have feelings too.
ChatGPT pretty good at putting together limericks:
There once was a general named Chuck Whose management was just out of luck His team was in shambles And their record was scandalous Now Chuck's looking for a new job to pluck!
I don’t use Twitter, it’s stupid. In fact, it might be even stupider than hockey.A guy on sports radio here last night was complaining about his Twitter feed and messages. Timestamps, showing old stuff he's already seen, stuff he's already interacted with and didn't have any sign that he had. It sounded like the database was in a fight with itself. They laughed it off, but that's potentially the sign of something starting to go super wrong under the hood. There would be a lot of confusion if a chunk of Twitter's DB set itself back after being overwritten by a backup, or another part of the DB deciding it's authoritative.

That being said, I wish Musk would go back to work on sending things to Mars. I have a long list of things I want sent to Mars starting with the Flyers front office, Dwayne Johnson, people who don’t use turn signals, Kevin Hayes and people who chew with their mouths open.
"I'll choose 'Things I Don't Want to Buy in Bulk' for $1000 deductible, please, Alex."Second carpal tunnel surgery in 2 weeks. It sucks but it's necessary. Doc said, "Since you hit your deductible it's like having a free surgery."
I haven’t seen even one single change in my “Twitter experience” since it was bought.
No glitches, no problems, no improvements, nothing.
What do you mean by that?I've had occasional slowdowns
What do you mean by that?
Like it takes a long time for the page to load?
I short while ago I accidentally left my back door wide open
I wonder if it has anything to do with how many people you follow and how much they tweet…Yes. Loading times have gotten longer for me.
Of course my account is banned, so I don't know if that's a technical problem for potentially everyone, or if they're trying to streamline for other users by dropping suspended users down the priority list for requests.
That implies THAT door ever closesI thought this was going somewhere else, and I was ready to go there.

Are you still able to log in, see your timeline, and stuff like that when banned?
That’s weird. You can log in and it yells at you. You can't interact with anything or follow anyone new. You can search for stuff. I don't think my timeline works anymore. I havent paid attention to it.
I also use Twitter a ton for work and there's absolutely no difference there. Only on my own account.
Plot twist Lil Beef DM'd Twitter to get them to mess with her dad. That’s weird.
If only you were a good noodle like me…
