Yeah that's exactly how I took it. Not a "hey I'll work something out with Backlund for the #11 I want after this season harhar" or a "this is my new number full stop". For this year spoke volumes. That or we're just looking for negativity where there is none.

Im excited to see him play in Calgary. I think overall he will be better than Gaudreau on that contract and will age better.
