Even if they lose this game tonight the eyeball test says this team is more complete than last year. They roll out 4 competitive lines and 3 d pairings. If Lilliberg and Publix can tweak down the dumbass play-o-meter just a tad there are no glaring weaknesses.

Kucherov noticed that the Richard was still missing from his cabinet so he's decided to get it this season. Unfortunately I think the Lady Byng might be his toughest challenge though.

In all seriousness, we do look good. The obvious worries is lack of scoring depth when it matters. Obviously have nearly an entire season to see how it goes before PO, but if Hagel, Cirelli and Paul can provide secondary, grabbing a 3rd liner at the TDL would be money.

If we could somehow bring back Yanni, what a f***ing dream that'd be. Imagine the shitstorm of Yanni, Ace and Girgensons or Geekie on a line

Lot of positives so far!

- With McD and Moser we got two guys that can log 20+ quality minutes in the defense
- Guentzel is as we thought a big upgrade over Stamkos in the 5vs5 aspect
- Top guys are producing!
- Vasy looking sharper
- Bottom 6 are doing great in terms of work effort and grit

Still early days, but I like what I've seen!

Pre-season I made a prediction that if Atkinson got PP1 and 2nd line time he could score 20+ goals. Right now he is barely even seeing the ice, so that ain't happening.

Next three are away, no doubt we'll see 11-7 at some point in there, probably Monday or Tuesday at least.

Atkinson hasn't look great, but looks better than sheary . He cost less than half sheary's salary. Ideally love to find a taker for sheary for future considerations. Then we have more cap and could possibly add a top 6 forward or 3rd line center.

While we definitely need to add another forward at the deadline, I think Isaac Howard will get a shot in the middle 6 late in the season after he signs, once State is done.
