I have a friend who lives in Cali who has skated on it. Said it's so soft and if you aren't an experienced skater it feels like you're going to break your ankles.

Well that sure doesn't sound good at all. I know the NHL has certain specifications that the ice has to live up to though.

And the irony is that the outdoor game that they had in Dodger's Stadium last year had the best ice of all the outdoor games thus far.

There should be a rule about the ice of an arena having 24 hours to "rest" or whatever you want to call it after anything else happens in an arena. Especially in an area that does not have any winter.
