Sheary-Geekie-Atkinson is ambitious, if they aren’t hemmed in their own zone 80% of the time they might be able to produce some offense.

Paul is our third best defensive forward but also our third best natural center, putting him on the second line to maximize shutdown ability comes with risks.

Girgensons line and top line are as expected and will wow tonight

The roles are interesting. Sheary never really established one, and the other two are new.

Between Sheary and Atkinson, guess which description is which (from sportsforecaster.com)
The diminutive but fast forward likes to shoot the puck, plays with plenty of energy and is an aggressive forechecker who makes things happen. Despite his lack of size, he will go to the front of the net, get his nose dirty and try to disrupt the goalkeeper. Is excellent at retrieving pucks, which earns him time on the power play.

Long Range Potential: Speedy, smallish but feisty winger.
The talented forward is in his 30s and continues to make up for a lack of size with his speed, skill and smarts. Is more than willing to go to the front of the net despite his small stature and knows where to go to get open for scoring opportunities. Is also an excellent penalty killer and a threat to score when his team is shorthanded.

Long Range Potential: Smallish but solid scoring winger (when healthy).

PK usage and implied injuries gives Atkinson away.

Our two smallest forwards shadowing our largest forward. Interesting indeed

Daysof04, well done on the GDT style. If you are not employed currently as a graphic artist or sales support why not? That's good stuff.

Also go Bolts and can't wait getting to know the new guys.

Sheary hattrick
I had a tree removed by a crane yesterday about 12 hours after it uprooted and fell on my house. If that is possible I think anything is possible.

From the practice lines this morning, it looks like the Geekie line is actually the third line, with Eyssimont/Sheary listed as the 3RW. It still shows Raddysh as the 7th D. I hope we don't go 11 F and 7 D and Geekie sits.

I'm not surprised we ended up with Paul at 2RW. Our bottom six needs Eyssimont back, Atkinson to still have something left, Geekie to work out and Chaffee to take another step forward. I'd mention Sheary, but I've already asked a lot.

Sheary sharing time with Eyssimont is telling, looks like they are giving Geekie his shot and Sheary will be serving popcorn.

If we go 11-7 tonight, I think it's simply because we have some guys banged up and on the road. 12-6 with Lilleberg in the press box should be how it all works out long term IMO.

Lets go!
