I thought that was a great period against a good team. We outworked them and probably outplayed them. One big mistake is the reason we’re down right now.

yeah I feel the same way.

They scored because of a bad change, players being out there too long. Ain't the worst thing to happen compared to having the other team dominate shift after shift.

They did a really good job of staying on the puck and following through with their plays. All-in-all, they're much more engaged and are playing more purposeful hockey.

The key is to make sure they can carry this effort into the 2nd period. We've seen them play good 1st periods only for them to completely disappear for the remaining 40 minutes.

Even if Fil doesn't score his speed is a big impediment for the other team, he's been strong on the puck and defensively he's forcing them to make decisions faster than they want.

Damn, you type hella fast. What about McKegg? What happened to him? And regardless, Lias should not be on the same line with an enforcer and a washed up d-man who plays the wing now. Smith and Haley have been pretty good for what they are, but I want to see Lias with more offensive line mates.
