Yeah, we might get "rekt", but I am with the hopeful thinking that we play "UP" to the opponent. The Caps havent always had our number, I think we play up and get a reaally big win.

we're the nhl's ultimate roller coaster. could see us getting spanked in a big wake up call from one of the big boys.
could see us delivering convincing win. for some reason i see us matching up well with them, and it wouldn't be a surprise to see them not come out prepared for a battle given our respective standing. we should certainly have a sizable mobility advantage.
so odds are it'll be a 3 point game we only get 1 of
in a broader league sense i think we're getting to a point we'll see a little more parity. the veteran teams came in with mostly established lines, systems they knew, team chemistry already there and thats a huge advantage, this season more than any other. i remember the last two years before we blew it up having runs earlier in the year you could see us just beat teams because we knew what we were doing, knew how to win, and had mental toughness. but over the course of the year you saw them improving and us treading water. this team has a ton of room to run...when and if that surge in level of play becomes consistent and we get some real team mojo remains to be seen. but there are going to be teams in the near future that really kick it up and it wouldn't surprise me to see teams like the caps and b's have their hands a bit more full than it looked keeping their place in the standings as the season moves along.

The Caps gotta KNOW, we have some serious talent here. They are going to try and rough us up a bit, for sure. They're going to try and send us a message, by trying to intimidate the hell out of us. Hope we're ready.
Honestly, I am a bit disappointed with the lack of altercations.
Seemed that Howden's bout was the 1st one this year. Seen every game, but somehow feel it was the 1st one.
Guess that it will get ramped up as the season moves along.

Last time we played these guys when Mika scored all 5 goals, it was probably the most exciting game of the year.
I got a feeling it's going to be a close exciting game as well and Mika will like the look of Caps jerseys and will finally get off the schneid and score not just one but two goals as we win a 5-4 nail biter....book it!...
