I work so many shows these days it's tough to go out and see them as often, plus it's just getting so expensive
My BIL treated me to the show, no idea how much it cost and im afraid to look lol. The concessions gave me sticker shock. I get 5 18L jugs of water delivered to my door for the price of one Liquid Death i paid for lol

Quite the line up! I’m a huge fan of early Mars Volta and Deftones are one of my all time favorites and probably put on one of the best live shows when I saw them with Mastodon and Alice In Chains years ago.
My BIL is a major Mars Volta fan so we were up front for that. They were my favorite of the night in terms of music and performance. Im all about that kinda avant garde jamming

For any venue that regularly has bigger touring bands, it's basically guaranteed you're going to spend ~$15+ for a light beer. It's ridiculous.

A Bay Area college made a massive climb up in the rankings on this year’s Wall Street Journal 2025 best colleges list.

San Jose State University jumped 157 steps, going from 173rd last year to the 16th best college this year.

What’s more, San Jose State ranked higher than any other California public school for its graduates’ salaries, landing in the No. 17 slot ahead of Cal Poly SLO, Cal Poly Pomona, San Francisco State University and UC Berkeley. Overall, SJSU ranked No. 4 among all public universities in the state.

CONTEXT: prior to the game I just finished playing, Eklund made me promise to get 5 hits in the game. I succeeded. This is the "succeeded cut scene."

Eklund: "Whoa! You said you'd bring a huge physical presence and you sure came through!"
Me: "THERE IS NOTHING LIKE NINE INNINGS, HOT DOGS, AND POPCORN. SIGN E UP, WILLIAM!"

Must have hit my head... why am I yelling at Eklund about going to a baseball game?

EDIT:
Eklund's response was pretty good. After I mashed the button to yell the things about baseball he responded, "You sure made a statement about that."

Convo ends with me yelling, "ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDED THAN WORDS." :biglaugh:

Someone needs to bring that to a game written on a sign.

Incredible effort they put into this product, lol

I'm actually gonna buy the game for the first time in a couple years just because the Sharks have Smith and Celebrini, can't wait to see how dumb and broken it is this year

I've thought about getting it this year because I want to play with the fun young Sharks team, but I don't know if I can justify full price (like $80 Canadian for a PS4 copy) for the game knowing that they put such a piss-poor effort into most aspects besides their lootbox bonanza microtransactions mode.

I'm going to be in Seattle in mid-October and would like to attend a Thunderbirds game. Is there any reason to care about whether they play Kamloops or Portland (interesting prospects, good opponent, etc)? Prices appear to be the same either way, the Friday game against Kamloops is less sold at the moment.

Obviously my decision may be made for me, depending on the rest of the trip's schedule - I'm just curious if anyone has any suggestions.

At a cursory glance at Portland Winterhawks and Kamloops Blazers rosters on their websites it looks like Kamloops has more players over 6 foot.

There's more righty d-men on... ah, I just noticed Portland's roster has Luca Cagnoni on there!! You should go see that guy! I hear he's really good! :sarcasm:

Me 30 years ago in September-“So glad football is here.”
Me 20 years ago in September-“Hockey is a few weeks away.”
Me 10 years ago in September-“So glad the Premier League has started”
Me today-“A new season of Great British Baking Show has begun!!!”
I’m with you!! Love the Great British Baking Show. That’s the pressure I can relate to.

These amateurs are all at a level that are as good or better than the winners were back when the show first started. To have bakes that look like THIS in week 1 is crazy

Those baking shows are bonkers!!! I like them, but I like the non-baking cooking shows quite a bit more. I feel like I get more real-life info to make better meals. I don't bake enough to get anything outta the baking focused cooking shows.

Speaking of TV, get your Schadenfreude on Game Show Network! Chain Reaction is a gold mine of really bad answers. Wheel of Fortune is always good for at least one well timed bankrupt spin. I get giddy when they've bought all the vowels and want that one more spin to get some bucks because the puzzle has 43 'T's' that haven't been called yet... boom bankrupt!! <3

I don't enjoy win-lose-or-draw as much as I should since it's kinda janky in my opinion with the way the board works, but there's still some good "oh that was soooo close, but no banana" type action.

Most of GSN's own game shows are rife with folks that don't know the answer and say something hilariously incorrect. Split Second is pretty good as is The Bridge.

It might actually be warm in my hood for Hardly Strictly this year. Crazy... But the fog is pretty thick right meow. Overcast rolling behind it... the sun might win out for awhile today.
