Kastelic learned that he shouldn't mess with a real Norwegian Viking. Then Lilleberg got the extra penalty for defending himself. What have those refs been smoking....

Just prior to the faceoff after the Lilleberg/Kastelic fight, they panned to Zadorov tapping Frederic (who was on the bench) as if to say either "watch this" or "get out here". You knew it would be their 4th line after that, but to Sacco's credit he did keep one of his clowns off the ice.
 
Aside from all the late game shenanigans, monster game by Cernak. Hagel and Cirelli were great. Bolts played a really solid game for 2 periods, not giving the Bruins, or Pasta and Marchand very much. It's a broken record, but the shell is so self destructive and contradictory to what was working in those first 40 minutes, and yet the W only reinforces their belief in it. Why struggle, invite Boston to take over the period, and just get by the skin of your teeth, when we had a solid plan that was working? Makes no sense. But whatever. 2 big points for us, and none for Boston.
 
Still pumped after that finish.

3rd period felt like a comeback waiting to happen, nice to see them not cave and get a little bit of good fortune. Some of the big guns still seem just a touch off, so it's even more impressive when you can get the W without having to completely rely on magic from the star players.

Guys need to watch out for Zadorov though, he can really put a hurting on someone so hopefully everyone has their head on a swivel next time.

Crazy hyperbole to move the goal posts. Your incessant bitching and complaining about who we beat, how we beat them, etc kinda shines the light that... youre not a fan of the team? That's my conclusion. We beat non playoff teams, not good enough. We beat playoff teams, suddenly they won't be playoff teams by the end of the year. Your pessimism is astounding.

It's a forum board. Good opinions, bad opinions, everything in between exists and if put out there are for critique. I just find the Fire Cooper brigade to be incredibly knee jerk and out of touch with reality. While not entirely the same magnitude, fans and sponsors put the pressure on the USSF to remove (finally) the USMNT head coach. Fans grumble in hockey, its felt by management, and suddenly a coach is on the hot seat. We don't need that. We don't need a fanbase so out of touch that a four game skid in an 82 game season starts talking about hot seat. It's f***ing stupid. What's worse is the same individuals shit on the team when they actually win and discredit them. It's like the people that bitch about whoever is president yet they never leave the country. It's tiring and nonsensical.

Just answer the question: Did Boston play most of the 3rd period in our zone? Yes they did, they outshot us and they had a couple of very close misses including the goal posts. It was a close game and one bounce or one redirect would have tied the game 2-2. I didn't like it, but by your logic a fan can never say he didn't like something, especially after winning games because that's "discrediting" and "pessimistic."
