When you score 4 goals in 5 games playing mostly against garbage teams and the main reason for that is incredibly low effort, it's always on the coach, just admit it and get over itYoure hellbent on looking at everything through "it's Cooper fault" goggles to realize this isn't on him.
They aren't declining lol. They are where they likely end, as a wild card. Gone are the +10 win streaks. People need to temper expectations and realize this is a growing pain/transition season. Capable of going deep, but just as likely as getting bounced in round 1. That's what we are. Depth is lousy, defense is inconsistent and at times shambolic, we have one goalie, and if our top 6 doesn't get on the scoreboard twice, we likely get smoked. That's just the reality of the this teams composition and people are pissy because they expect a core of 5-6 guys to carry 18 to a +50 win season and go deep, anything less and it's fire sale city + Fire Cooper.Going 0-3 on this road trip, for a team that's supposed to be a playoff team is beyond unacceptable. Loses against two of the worst teams in the league.
It's not like they are comfortably locking up a playoff spot. This roster is continuing to decline
You were incredibly quiet when we were winning games. Three games in an 82 game season doesn't warrant firing a coach. Bad play gets corrected in a myriad of ways other than firing a coach. Your delusional post stating the players want him out will go down as one of the dumbest takes of 2025, like Byrds take on Hagel for 2024. Just accept that trophy and exit the stage. When you score 4 goals in 5 games playing mostly against garbage teams and the main reason for that is incredibly low effort, it's always on the coach, just admit it and get over it
What kind of argument is that? Am I supposed to throw a party, drink and dance after beating the Seattle Kraken? You were incredibly quiet when we were winning games.
Florida Panthers = Seattle KrakenWhat kind of argument is that? Am I supposed to throw a party, drink and dance after beating the Seattle Kraken?
Ok, one good win in the last *checks notes* 17 games. thanks JJ who played the game of his life. All the other games were either losses or wins against non playoff teamsFlorida Panthers = Seattle Kraken
Great retort
Which is part of your premise, that we can't beat those teams. Yet, when we do, you go silent. You can't keep shifting the goal posts to fit your Fire Cooper narrative. It just makes you look more desperate.Ok, one good win in the last *checks notes* 17 games. thanks JJ who played the game of his life. What's wrong? When you beat bad teams it should be taken for granted. When you lose to those teams it's a reason for serious criticism. I'm not saying we CAN'T beat those teams. You're saying that. You're literally justifying the fact that we can't score more than 1 goal against San Jose, Anaheim and Montreal by saying that Cooper doesn't have a good enough lineup.Which is part of your premise, that we can't beat those teams. Thats prima facie. I think that's a large part of it, our depth is non existent right now and when the top line is checked tightly, it becomes easier to beat us. So, you expect a better team to beat the lesser team 100% of the time? Can you show me one, just one, team in regular season NHL history that has done this and not lost to a non-playoff team? What's wrong? When you beat bad teams it should be taken for granted.
