I'm sorry I don't agree that they played a good game at all.

Coasted half the ****ing game passing the puck to no one. Once Steen scored that (awful) goal, their confidence was shot for 30 straight minutes. I'm floored that they managed 30 shots.

They didn't "coast"... learn the definition of the words you use. They simply weren't good tonight. They weren't handling the puck well and when they can't control the damn puck they suck. What confuses me is how they go from being able to make/accept passes to handling the puck like it's a time-bomb.

I don't want Cally back next year unless he takes a serious discount, but calling him a p.o.s is pretty low. Sometimes his place is just awful.

Fitting that the only team that can KO the Blues lately in the playoffs are the Kings, the only team I'd hate to face more than the Blues.

Another 2-1 loss at home, albeit this time to probably a better team.

But the script continues, weird bounces, inconsistent officiating, opposing goaltender makes some key saves...just a typical 21st century Garden loss.

I stand by what I've said repeatedly. If you're playing a team that uses shot blocking as a strategy, SHOOT at hands, faces, exposed places, etc. I hate this stone age blocked shot crap! Take it back to the 1980's, PLEASE!

I really wish that shin pads would go back about 30 years in technology. The game would be 10000% better for it.

They seem to lack composure. Even if there are lanes to make passes that the team normally makes, the passing quality declines dramatically if the area just around those lanes shrinks.

To be fair, if any nhl franchise has the right to be whiny it's us.

Come on now, we are pretty low on the totem pole to complain all things considered. Our franchise has cups, consistent playoff team the past decade etc.

Yeah, we are a little bit off from contending again but its not all that bad. Other teams(like the blues)have more to complain about.

I guess effort's not the right word, per se, but these ****ing idiots couldn't complete a three foot pass tonight if their lives depended on it. They wilted and died at the sight of one forechecker. Everytime someone entered the path of one of our players they threw the puck away to no one.

I guess you can call this "getting absolutely owned mentally by a far superior team".

I agree. I thought we were absolutely terrible tonight. We couldn't pass at all. Everything was on the stakes or completely mishandled. For the first time in a awhile the PP was completely useless.

Blues fans don't, because they're a cup contender.

Great acting job by Shattenkirk on that slash. Man idk how his arm stayed intact with how much pain he seemed to be in. Then to score 9 seconds later? He must be a bionic man.

Seriously, he acted like his arm got broken off. The replay showed it was barely a love tap, they type of slash that happens 100 times in a game, and 99 times is let go. Of course he scores on the ensuing pp.

Sucks that we're going into the Stadium Series on a 2 game losing streak. Would've been nice to ride into those games with a boat load of confidence. Not to mention throwing away points the last 2 games when everyone else in the division is winning consistently.

Just an observation here but I'm not a fan of John Moore at all. Every time he gets the puck he tries to skate through the whole other team, and someone needs to tell him, he's never going to be able to do it. The kid gets tunnel vision every time he gets the puck, it's very frustrating to watch. He misses guys breaking all the time because he wants to skate it up himself, to ultimately lose the puck.

Uhh welcome to the NHL? The good players know how to draw penalties... end of story. You can ***** about it all you want... if you'd like.

I changed around my words in a later post as I felt coasting wasn't the right word in the end. They played probably the most unconfident hockey I've seen in a long time. Half the roster looks like they'd never played in the NHL tonight. But whatever.

I just fear this is going to spiral into something worse than two games lost.

Perceived pressure: the Blues did a great job of rushing the Rangers early when they had the puck and making hurry their passes. Because of that pressure early the Rangers always thought there was Blues player about to be bearing down on them and so rushed passes or panicked for the rest of the game.

Certain individuals lack composure for sure. Some of the cogs are simply not working well in the machine. Its a roster thing.

Granted some of those guys(younger ones) will probably/hopefully develop it. But it is what it is.

Watching him lug the puck shows he can skate with it (and protect it okay), but I agree with you that he really does not know what to do with it. But, maybe the skating is what makes it look so promising. I'm looking for the good things from him on he offensive side, so I guess I gushed a bit over that foray into their zone and around the net.

Thanks for your condescension. I'm not allowed to complain about something because it happens all the time, okay.

I don't care how often it happens, I hate seeing obvious acting jobs like that. No matter how common it is.

Yawn...must stop losing points at home, or it's good night. Only 29 games left of the season.

Now I'm gonna watch the Canucks-Predators game, I'm sure Del Zotto in his new uniform will be more entertaining..
