He was stick checking Toffoli and fell over into the side of the net, Lucic popped him in the back/side of the head essentially as he stood up and regained his balance. That was the very definition of a sucker punch.

Just square him up and kick his ass, that was stupid.

Typical. Wonder if the league has another "talk" with him.

I actually wouldn't be shocked if he got more than a U.N. style angry letter from the league this time for the combination of events--there was the punch, the 30-second expletive-laced tirade/meltdown at Brad Meier, then complaining about it in the media in the post-game.

That slash happens in every game. Pretty funny that Lucic of all people complains about a cheap shot.

The two-handed overhand to the exposed wrist?

It might happen in every Coyotes game, but I'll have to disagree with you there.

Connauton knew exactly what he was doing and had time to think about it.

Lucic's loose screw is part of the package and if he's going to lose his **** every 25 games or so to keep people honest I'm 100% okay with it because no one is touching Kopitar this year.

Lucic is the biggest baby in the league. If things don't go his way, temper tantrum incoming. Faux tough guy.

Caught him in a bad spot, sure. Still don't think it was Connauton aiming at his wrist.

Lucic is a big baby, but buddy deserved that shot to the noggin.

I know that obviously isn't even remotely closet to game speed, but I have a hard time believing that Connauton has such little control over his stick that he can think about his next move and accidentally plug someone that high.

Pretty good aim if he meant to do that. Pointless to argue if he meant to do it because we'll never know for sure.

Neutral fan here. I think Connaughton knew exactly what he was doing there. If he didn't then it is completely reckless. Easy way to break a wrist.

Yeah I totally agree. Hard to really tell, but I can admit homer glasses on my end with the slash. I DO think Looch's reaction was nutso but i'm glad we have at least one screw loose on the Kings this year and it seems everyone is fine so maybe we can just chalk it up to ongoing rivalry.
