If the goal is to get at least two points out of the next two road games this decision makes sense though: Play the stronger goalie against the weaker opponent to “secure” two points and go with the backup in the game where chances of a win are 50:50 at the very best - and even with your #1 goaltender.Eh, I would've still started Vasy against the team that Tampa is trying to catch in the standings. Sure, he's had a couple of rough starts against them this season, but he has been playing better lately and he is still the #1. He also needs to have a good game against Toronto to get over any mental blocks there may be against them imo. Despite JJ's last handful of better starts, I'd still trust Vasy more against the higher quality opponents.

We're in a playoff fight against Montreal so that's the more important game to have Vasy.Yeah, it's kinda crazy to me if we're sheltering former Vezina Vasy from the Leafs? Is he back to peak form or not? Playing him tonight and let's see. This also seems like a great way to crush what confidence JJ has developed.
