Steve Zissou
I'll order you a red cap and a Speedo.
What a 1st f***ing goal...
I still remember running around my living room screaming as a teenager during that game because the Kings finally had a great young player. There was hope! To get your first on Pronger, who was a beast at the time, was icing on the cake! A mix of skill, strength and finesse. Even the Ducks homers were impressed.Legend.

He'll pass some of those guys this season.
At 1200, he would crack the top 50 all time.
It's crazy to think there's only ever been 64 players in the history of the game who have scored more points than him.
Truly underappreciated by so many for so many years.Legend.
lol...where's the guy who thinks Kopitar should be sitting in the press box and asking himself why he's demanding to be paid 10mil/year?Who cares? He’s a POS captain and should’ve been traded in 2016.
That why I value adjusted totals.. where he’s at 1200+ points when all is factored.Indeed
Especially considering the era that guys like bossy and Federko played in.
Really? I don't think so...I think most fans with half a brain have appreciated Kopitar for about his entire existence with the team.Truly underappreciated by so many for so many years.
But unlike Barkov and Bergeron, Kopitar carried the Kings more often than not..Like Bergeron and Barkov, Kopi are co. are silent assassins - they quietly go about their business, put points up on the board, play a 200 ft. game.
And it isn't till down the road that you realize how consistent they have been for so many years, playing the game the right way and flying under the radar all the while.
Yup. Bergeron been the third wheel on his own line for almost a decade. Kopitar is the better playerBut unlike Barkov and Bergeron, Kopitar carried the Kings more often than not..
of that trio, Kopitar had by far the worse wingers
Kopi will be in the 50's before it's said and done. If he continues for a few more years at this pace he will most certainly be there. Wait he's only 30 behind Federko maybe he'll pass him up this year. (Okay maybe not but what an accomplishment from a small country of Slovenia!)He currently ranks 65th all time in NHL points:

The problem with a Kopitar is far too many people are convinced he’s just been consistent his whole career.Listened to the oilers feed and their announcers said tons of good things about him and mentioned that even though he is top five active scorers he is not always mentioned with the others but really should be , Kane, Crosby, Malkin and of course ovi , still think if he was a ranger or hawk he would have legend status already, guess he will have to settle for being kings fan greatest ever forward , with all due respect to Dionne kopi led the way to TWO cups going to be hard to top that for most of us

It's remarkable that even with the flat cap at age 35 he's still contributing at an impact level comparable to a $7-8M center. That is also acknowledging that advanced stats cannot quantify defensive impact that well yet, so his true impact could be even higher (as we've known for the majority of his career).First ballad HOF. Haters are gonna hate due to his contract, but had the cap continued to go up as expected at the time it would be a non-issue. Get past his cap hit and appreciate what we have.
Ya don’t need advanced stats to enjoy watching Kopi absolutely molest Draisaitl below the dots in the D zone. It's remarkable that even with the flat cap at age 35 he's still contributing at an impact level comparable to a $7-8M center. I dunno, I think prime Bossy would score 30 - 35 goals a season in today's NHL. He was that good.Indeed

It’s a thing of beauty.
