How is this loss on Scott? And how is dressing 7 dmen going to punish the dmen that played like **** or make them play better?

I was not impressed with Enroth. He was pretty bad. But, our defense from our forwards and our D was sloppy. Grigs showed flashes at times. I'd like to see what he can do with the second line. We have zero offense outside of our first line. It's real bad.
I'm not overly worried about much, but the lack of offense outside of VHP scares me a little.
I like Ehrhoff a lot.

I must have missed when Kaleta stopped being Kaleta.
After he got suspended. Ruff even said he told him to cool it.
You really think Kaleta plays the same now as he did a few years ago?

Kaleta playing smarter and being a more effective player is now a bad thing? He is still an annoying rat to the teams we play.

What is the point of Scott at this point? Canes have nobody fearsome to worry about so put in someone that can make an actual difference in the outcome.

It's cliche, but it was only one game.
I fully expect better results tomorrow night. Someone other than VHP will pot one and it will get the team going. Honestly, they played as sloppy as a team could play and they were still in the game half way through the 3rd on the road. It seemed like Carolina could only generate offense when we allowed it with some awful plays.

Sitting Scott and playing 7 dmen does nothing to fix the screwups from tonight.
Enroth was garbage, FES has been meh to bad since the start of the season. We have no defensive center we can throw out to win a face off and our dmen are not strong enough in our zone. Benching Scott and dressing 7 dmen will not make any of that better.
How about benching a dman or two to send a message and let one or both of Weber/Brennan into the lineup?
EDIT: To be clear, I don't care if Scott comes out tomorrow. Westgarth would be happy. I just don't see a point in dressing 7 dmen. We already have enough disfunction with some of the pairs. We don't need to add yet another dman to that mix.

You make some vague reference to Lindy telling Kaleta to tone it down. I'm asking how thats changed Pat's game in a negative way.
I'm also asking what is wrong with Ott's game thats made you think evil Lindy has taken away his mojo?
You're claiming Ruff neutered Kaleta and are accusing him of doing it to Ott. Where is the evidence for either?

I just think when a team is playing like absolute dog crap itd be nice if a guy like kaleta or ott would get involved to piss some guys off.

Fair enough
Like a goal scorer they can be off their game some nights also. If it carries over into a series of games then we would have to revisit if there was something else going on.
They looked horrid as a team other than the top line. Sloppy play all over the place. To be honest they finally looked like a lot of teams have since the season started up.

Yea i just think that in games where most of the team is playing like crap it takes something needs to get em going. I thought it was the tie score then it was quickly back to dog crap. I just think that nobodd stepped up and did anything.
Ott was playing against the dude who was his best man in his wedding. The same dude who is now married to his ex wife from the same wedding. Yea she cheated on him. I was shocked to not see him start crap to get things going.

Shame on us for thinking Regier has the skill to actually piece together a tough team. That guy couldn't figure it out even if Eddie Shore rose from the grave and shoved the blueprint up his ass.
And when in the hell did Regehr become Rivet 2.0? So disappointed in his performance.

The D was so bad it was almost as if the Sabres had hired Wannstedt and none of us knew it.
