Will be interesting if it’s that bad of a return since Sweeney didn’t need to move Ullmark right now. Understandably for the players sake if the plan is to move him before the TD then you do it early to give him and his family time to adjust but.

The cap space alone makes him trade worthy with Free Agency right around the corner

If no 1st rounder in deal I’ll consider it brutal

Honestly, in how it's reported and how casual fans will take it, number 25 and a prospect will be framed as "brutal" imo.

If I’m Ottawa I’m not sure I’d pay to get Ullmark for a 1 year stop gap.

Unless they want to try him out and worst case he doesn’t want to stay retain 50% of his cap and flip him at this years deadline to recoup the cost
