Pounding on a guy for unintentionally hitting your goalie nearly out of the crease is a far sight from teaching someone a lesson.

What are you talking about??? Next time Kessel will cut across the net a little farther from Miller. Accident or not it sends a message....that the sabres are not *******.

No he won't. He'll do the same and know that his team won't be down a man because someone will run him.

You protect the goalie. Intentional, unintentional, it makes no difference. Touching the tender is grounds for pummeling. Always.

I can't comprehend why other teams will shy away from running a goalie if they know the Sabres will take a penalty in response. It's like Kaleta yapping at some roid case.

Kessel was pretty much blameless there. He didn't even come close to running him.

Also, difficult to take a penalty on a PP.

Kessel's elbow is near Miller's head while he's squared to make a save. Given the team's history, any opportunity to stand up for the netminder is bigger than a possible man advantage.

Miller huge on his good buddy Liles!
