I think his overall game has really grown, I have seen him in Denver and NY over the past couple years a few times, and honestly I think he could probably win a Selke later in his career.

While he's having a phenomenal season (0.75 GPG), I'd argue this is in part due to Kaprizov (0.65 GPG) and Ovechkin (0.70 GPG) both missing 15+ games. Throw in a down year by Matthews (who has also missed a good number of games) and you have a weak field, if you're judging only by raw totals.

Yes, but that doesn't make it one of the greatest goal scoring seasons in history. He's only 3 goals ahead of a 39 year old Ovechkin's pace.

He has been the best player in the league this year however and is deserving of a possible Richard, Ross, and Hart sweep.
