Hard to imagine things turning around with Babcock in charge at this point. Probably won't turn around without him either, but it's worth a shot.

I don't even care if it's his fault at this point. I think he's a huge problem. But even if he's not, something has to change, and until a coaching change happens to see if that's the issue whatever the problem is won't be fixed.

Joke coach should have been fired after last szn when he played Marleau 18 mins a game in a must win game while playing Matthews like 17 mins. Or when he pulled the goalie when down by a goal in game 6 and had Hyman and Marleau with 1 min left when Matthews/Marner was fully rested. Egocock has to be the most overated coach in the history of hockey.

Well, how it works is like this. If Dubas fired Babcock he shortens his own lifespan unless the team drastically turns around.

If they continue the same path and don't win a round, or worse, don't make the playoffs. He has 1 year tops before he is ousted. That's how it goes.

Whoever the replacement is better be experienced and hard nosed. Good luck trying to make multi millionaire kids suddenly care when they know they will outlast you too. It's clear they decided to stack the top 2 lines at the expense of depth and defense. Every injury magnifies just how vulnerable they are.
