Senators place Artem Zub on LTIR, recall prospect Donovan Sebrango

The Senators placed defenceman Artum Zub on Long-Term Injured Reserve on Tuesday, having previously announced that the Russian had suffered a fractured foot.

Definitely hurts to lose Zub for any amount of time but glad to see Sebrango get some time in Ottawa.
He has been on the radar since the B-Sens playoffs last season and then a pretty solid training camp this year.
Will be interesting to see how he does, if does get some games. I think he has a future with the Senators.
Decent size & plays with an edge, not afraid to mix it up and has some offence to his game.

I don't even think Zub was fully fully recovered from that nasty concussion so hopefully this break helps and he comes back like the usual Zub.

Also did he finish the game with a fractured foot? I'm not sure I remember him leaving.

Sebrango showed some bite and a decent shot in pre-season. He's a LD, so doesn't really take Zub's spot, but could come in for Kleven.

Ridiculous that a guy who could barely stick in the AHL last year is the best callup option for an NHL team after only a single injury

I don't see how this is a Zub replacement. Why not call up Matinpalo in that case (RD) or Guennette (RD). I think this gives them the option to sit Kleven or that shot Chabot took off the foot caused a ton of swelling and he can't go tomorrow.
