Speculation: Zibanejad for Miller?

Both are around the same age, both have their contracts running through 2030 with similar numbers.

Both are productive centers.

Zibanejad have become a "persona non grata" in NY.

Miller is rumoured to have a personal feud with "franchise" center Pettersson.

A change of scenery type of swap?

What do you think?

Not sure if Zibanejad is a thoc type player.

At this point I prefer the standard template of 1st round pick, a blue chip prospect, one roster player etc etc over Zibanejad.

Zibby looks like he is coasting/dissinterested now and collecting his paycheque … would be an awful idea for a team to acquire him unless it’s a rebuilding team with cap space and real good assets are included. Like a Zibby, prospect, picks type thing so it clears room for NYR

This is a non-starter, but probably because Zibanejad is (probably) not waiving his NMC to go to Canada. So it does not matter how good or bad (its bad) that Zibanejad is; we probably don't have to worry about this.

I think Vancouver should trade EP for Zibanejad. Z and Miller would form a perfect 1 - 2 combination at center. And likely become good friends too, Z's hard-working 200-foot effort will endear himself to Miler real quick.
