Value of: Zegras

27 year old Barzal will cost the value of an 85 point player. Minimum is Dach and a 1st.

Are we going to start fantasizing of being one legged contenders?

Why don't we wait until we have Rein, Mailman and Demigod in the lineup before overdosing on hope...
While Dach cooks. My point as well.
We have enough top6 pieces with good upside to see how it goes up front.
I think we need more work on the right side of D than in the top6 forwards.

“GM Pat Verbeek has been looking into finding the player a new home all season.”

“This is a tough sell low situation if the Ducks proceed, but it's becoming more apparent that Zegras just doesn't fit the mold of how Verbeek wants his team to play.”

I still don't believe this reporting lol there have been multiple firsthand testimonies from Z, Verbeek and Cronin with how pleased they all are about the situation

Kuzmenko is a little older but is similar salary and was also considered a high end player at one point. Being he was recently traded and the circumstances of zegras lack of production I'd add flyers 2nd.
I like z but I just don't see Anaheim getting a haul for him until he's showing More of who he was. If he does do that I doubt they move him. Closest I could come up with for an almost hockey trade

Anaheim should jump on that

It's opposite of their needs to go after someone like Nemec. They already don't have enough icetime for all of their own young Dmen (constantly scratching one of Mintyukov/Zellweger) and that's not even including Luneau who has 25 points in his last 16 AHL games.

Also I won't be surprised if Kypreos is talking out of his ass, the same way Seravelli was when first bringing forth this notion a year ago.

It’s literally becoming the opposite of apparent if it wasn’t for goddamn clickbaiters needing to produce slop.

Value wise is fine... but idk that we really need any more Dmen, at the expense of forwards.

Next year our defense already looks like some combination of

Lacombe Gudas
Mintyukov Trouba
Zellweger Helleson

w/ Luneau and potentially Moore/Hinds fighting for a spot

Then you have Warren, Solberg, Tarin Smith, Dioncicio in the not too distant future.

Oh geez, here we go again.

No but you seem intent on trashing him over multiple threads ... that's not going to lower his price you know.
I not even once said a single negative thing about him. I think he’s a great talent that needs to be rescued from a horrible organization. Your FO has done a good enough job lowering the price, I don’t need to say a thing…

Zegras has put some solid numbers up since he came back from that knee.
6 points in 10 games, playing some bigger minutes too especially in February.

Would be weird for Anaheim to move him now.

It would better to wait until he suck again to get value?

Don’t take this the wrong way but if anyone offer something even remotely close to a high value asset for Zegras you just take it and make other moves to accommodate.

Zegras is a falling asset and I think even the most dire Anaheim fans who protects him right now are going to speak freely and say how much of a disappointment Zegras has become

I don’t think you’ll find many duck fans disappointed in zegras game…. Raw production sure we’d hope it was a bit better …. But I do think that’s more or less a coach issue.

Look at a guy like cc before and after a coach change. Most duck fans would prefer to hold onto zegras unless we were packaging him to get a bigger asset.

Caufield had 43 points in 67 games at 20 years old before MSL came in as a coach. That’s not too bad?

If true(prob not), then teams would be crazy not to buy low here. I know he's not well liked, but his talent level is almost cheat code at times.
