Glad to see Chara back with Bruins. Too bad it's not as the new strength and conditioning coach!

Other than Chara, I am through with the old boy network hiring and instantly promoting unqualified or only semi-qualified ex-players. Chara, however, has some business training, intellect and an incredible work etic. It's good news, though. I just hope Z does not judge using his nearly unmatchable standard for work ethic.

Good news is it is Chara while the bad news is this means the incompetent, tone deaf and arrogant Neely and Sweeney are staying. YUCK!!!!!

They probably are, but you never know.

Sacco is almost certainly a goner.

Almost any fundamentally sound defense first coach is better than Jim Montgomery, as the bar in that case is exceptionally low.

If it were up to me, and thank God it isn't, I would bring in Joel Quenneville.

That's not happening for obvious reasons.

I don't know who would be a proper fit for the Boston Bruins and the style of play I prefer.

Whoever is selected, it doesn't have to be someone from the old boys club (including JQ).

I'm also leery of "shiny new toys" with whiz bang offensive systems, boatloads of fawning praise, and gaudy winning percentages.

I've seen that one before and I got up and left a quarter of the way in.

Pitch my dinosaur requisites and "I don't want this, I don't want that" fussiness.

Who would you select as the Bruins next head coach?

While you're at it, touch down on Fantasy Island ("The plane! The plane!") and toss out a few candidates to replace Sweeney, Neely, or both.
