Of course he will!!!Lou will still find a way to give him an 8 year contract
Bet if he legally changed his name to Ilyach Parisechuk he could get that plus a handshake agreement for another 8 years after.Lou will still find a way to give him an 8 year contract
Ahh... The Jonathan Toews "I'm not that good anymore and nobody will sign me to a contract that I feel is worth showing up to work for, so I'm hoping the cap hike in 2024 brings me money" special.
Yeah, that's 6 more than Toews' 15.Except Parise scored 21 goals last year so It's not the same
He’s had 36 goals and over 70 points the last two years. If you ask me he still good for 2-3 millionHe has had ~ 35 pts last 2 years
He can still play for 1M
Guessing you didn't watch any Islanders games last season.Ahh... The Jonathan Toews "I'm not that good anymore and nobody will sign me to a contract that I feel is worth showing up to work for, so I'm hoping the cap hike in 2024 brings me money" special.
Seriously though, what happened to him...I was sooooo upset when wings didn't get him and suter (more so Suter because we were losing Lidstrom) but after like year 3 with minnesota it was readily apparent that they just weren't HIM.He has had ~ 35 pts last 2 years
He can still play for 1M
I wonder if both of them had specific teams in mind and didn't get the offers.Ahh... The Jonathan Toews "I'm not that good anymore and nobody will sign me to a contract that I feel is worth showing up to work for, so I'm hoping the cap hike in 2024 brings me money" special.

Yeah, that's 6 more than Toews' 15.
... Of course, Toews also played 29 less games so here's your prize.
Not really driving home the idea that a team would be more inclined to sign Parise than Toews by noting that he's much closer to 40...Parise is 4 years older than Toews. It's more impressive to have 21 goals at the age of 38 than 15 goals at the age of 34.
I cannot imagine he has any interest in returning to NJ. His buddies are all gone the team has changed ownership and of course Lou is on the Island. What's he going back for?He wants to be a Devil.
Also, he wants to be a Star to be with his bff Ryan Suter.
He said in the past that it's the Islander or nowhere this season. Just burned out but not ready to say he's hung them up. In Lou's presser there was talk of him possibly coming to the team later in the season. We'll see.Isles lose a good 3rd line, 20 goal scorer who hit and blocked shots. Guess he didn't want to play with them.
