My guess is that he stays with Toronto for around 13.5 after they make a deep run this playoffs. This Toronto team looks very different than previous years and they're built to win. Hot take - I can see them winning the cup too.

Hey I'm not happy about it either but watching these games they look like a totally different team. I can (no joke) see them sweeping Florida too. I actually don't see any team in the East better built than Toronto.

I think they lose to whoever comes out of the west ultimately but Berube is a hell of a coach and I can truly see them taking it all.

I would run through a wall for TMac. Absolutely putting accountability on the players, particularly the top guys.

I liked pretty much everything McLellan had to say. That was my biggest takeaway, I feel good about him being in charge and seems like he will have these younger guys focusing on the right things.

Unfortunately McLellan literally went to the media after #82 and singled out Holl as one of the bright spots of the back half.

Yeah, I have no idea how. But certainly seems like he's coming back.

I mean I get the desire as a fan to hear a coach single out a bad player. But on the other hand, what good would that do for the player psychologically. Sure some may have a fire lit under there ass, and others may just crumble. Not sure how needed it is to add additional pressure to an already struggling player.

It was from Terry Foster who is on Woodward sports or whatever, he said Yzerman asked Illitch to do the four years on Stamkos and he got ghosted.

I know that we were in on him, but NSH offered more money and his family wanted to go there.
There is no indications that ownership as denied anything in regards to signing Stamkos or not.

Friedman had us all over this entering free agency. Allen and Duff I have heard talk about it and yes they might not be the most current but they are the kind of guys with big Detroit contacts. I sort of assume this is where Foster got it as well.

It'd be one thing for him to say yeah Holl sucked if somebody asked about Holl. Somebody asked if Kasper was the brightest spot/most improved and Todd just randomly singled out Holl as some kind of success story.

To answer your question, no I'm not saying shit on him. But he also wasn't good, and singling him out to say he was is not encouraging. It suggests you actually believe that shit.

They have impressed me the most in terms of the first round. Berube has them playing a lot different. Also getting D that can play defense has helped them considerably.

I agree with Yzerman and Todd that the team could've made the playoffs, and Todd point to a handful of games where they pissed away points. I know many more including those lol.

I like Todd and think he’s a very good coach, but I would also say that some of his deployments (when we got scored on with EN) were very poor. Multiple times he had Kane on protecting a 1 goal lead with less than 2 mins. Made no sense. I will agree with him to some degree but I also think he needs to do a better job in some of those situations deployment wise

Yeah, it would obviously be better to have you as the coach and GM, given that you're so much more in tune than a long-time NHL GM and a long-time NHL coach.
