Got a question on frustration by Larkin and if it represents frustration from all the players. Stevie asked the guy to clarify what he meant by "all the players". He then said he is expecting the leaders to give us a morale boost and "that's what they're paid". He definitely did not say Larkin's comments were fine and dandy like many here have expected lol.

He tossed in MTL and STL being "Led by their best players" on top of being in the playoffs without a trade at the deadline.

That seems like a shot.

McLellan just went against Larkin's comments too lol. "The group has to change, and then we can augment it with others".

Y'all still think they don't care about Larkin's comments? They both sound like they do not at all agree with Larkin and essentially called him out as directly as they could without saying his name.

IMO Larkin is as good as gone. Steve's comment first saying "no I didn't hear about worse morale" when that's exactly what Larkin said...followed up immediately with "we expect our leaders to boost morale, that's what they're paid for" is essentially exactly what most of us here have been saying re: Larkin being a poor leader and the GM just backed it up.
