Is there a roster limit or something? Russia has 15 forwards when other teams have 9.

It's extended roster, so soon it will be cut down to something like 10-11 F and 6-7 D I guess. In Youth Olympics they play by 3 lines.

I think forwards would be something like

Shestopalov - Khovanov - Svechnikov
Kotkov - Zhabreev - Rotenberg
Denisenko - Koreshkov - Mutovin
(Denezkin, Nesvetaev, Sokolov)

I don't really know about Rotenberg, he's playing with Zhabreev in his club but I'm not sure it's worth to put him in the final roster. He'll be there anyway though so doesn't matter.

Defence would be something like:

Malyshev - Solopanov
Zhilyakov - Babintsev
Degtyarev - Kupchikhin
(Okhotyuk, Sitdikov)

P.S. Damn, forgot about Nizhnikov. Really wanna see him playing so I hope he'll be chosen instead Rotenberg.

Grigoriy Dinisenko

So, no Shestopalov, part of killer Ak Bars line with Svechnikov and Khovanov. But for NT they often played with other players, Kotkov for example.
Rotenberg kept his spot. Well, all right then. He's not that bad and with Zhabreev even can be good.
Nizhnikov is in the line-up, so it's good too. But no Mutovin sadly.
Also glad that Denezkin made the team. 2019 draft eligible prospect.

My updated lines would be:

Kotkov - Khovanov - Svechnikov
Denisenko - Denezhkin - Nizhnikov
Sokolov - Zhabreev - Rotenberg

Malyshev - Kupchikhin
Zhilyakov - Babintsev
Sitdikov - Zhuravlev

wow how come leevi aaltonen didnt make it into that group

I think they didn't want to have underagers.

that would be the only logical reason since jesperi kotkaniemi is the only forward who i would consider better than leevi from that group.

and nevasaari maybe

Like FinPanda said, they won't take underagers in this tournament.

Saarela wasn't in 2012 either and he would have been the best player in the team.

Well that game seemed like a big joke 11-0 shots 36-3

(too bad a team like norway can participate just because theyre hosting but sweden is left out)
