I'm leaving Benson out but I put Levi back in despite the last time I did this for @neelynugs on the Prospect Board... so....

1A - Matt Savoie C/RW
1B - Jiri Kulich LW/C
2 - Devon Levi G
3 - Konsta Helenius RC
4 - Isak Rosen LW/RW
5 - Ryan Johnson LD
6 - Noah Ostlund LC
7 - Vsevelod Komarov RD
8 - Anton Wahlberg LC/RW
9- Maxim Strbak RD

HM's would make this go on too far. Shout out to Viktor Neuchev though, the kid's got game.
Shoutout to the top 5 Ryan Johnson.

I'm pulling for Levi. He grew up in my neighbourhood, a little younger than my kids. He's a good kid from a great family.

Yeah, I’d take our group against anyone else in the league.
San Jose's top-end prospects look really good. Looking forward to watching them in a couple of years!

1st tier is potential star, 2nd tier is potential impact player, 3rd tier is potential contributor, 4th tier is potential depth piece. I'm considering Calder Cup Playoff MVP Hendrix Lapierre to be graduated - he'd probably be 3rd for me otherwise. Alex Alexeyev as well, he'd be in the mix for 9th or 10th.

Certainly getting better from what it was 2 or 3 years ago...

Things are still looking rough for Ottawa, imagine if we had not drafted Boucher kept the 7th and 12th overall pick (likely lower without Debrincat). Yakemchuk would likely be the 2nd or 3rd best prospect instead of the 1st

1. Carter Yakemchuk
2. Tyler Kleven
3. Zach Ostapchuk
4. Stephen Halliday
5. Jorian Donovan
6. Oscar Pettersson
7. Gabriel Eliasson
8. Roby Jarventie
9. Filip Nordberg
10. Leevi Merilainen

7 - 10 could be in any order tbh, there are also a few others that could be mentioned instead
There's no way Jarventie is that low and Eliasson is even on the list. Our prospect pool is bare, but not THAT BARE.

Boston’s is pretty funny. We have the big project we just drafted, then Lysell who has busted but no one wants to admit it, then 8 guys that will top out in the AHL. Don Sweeney is so brutal as a builder.

1- Ivan Demidov
2- Lane Hutson
3- Joshua Roy
4- David Reinbacher
5- Logan Mailloux
6- Jacob Fowler
7- Michael Hage
8- Owen Beck
9- Adam Engstrom
10- Oliver Kapanen

HM : Yevgeni Volokhin, Florian Xhekaj, Sean Farrell, Emil Heineman, Filip Mesar, Jakub Dobes, Aatos Koivu, William Trudeau, Luke Tuch, Riley Kidney, Quentin Miller
This is just gross. Has to be tops in the nhl. The your 8-9-10 is way better than out 1-2-3. Makes me sick

Makes me happy to see Rosén above Östlund. I was low on Rosén at the draft and then high on Östlund and I suspect my own judgement is clouded by that. When I look at stats and highlights I'm always surprised by Rosén.

For The Blues I would probably go....

1. Dvorsky (2023 1st) [Two Way Center/Top 6]
2. Snuggarud (2022 1st) [Goal Scoring Wing/Top 6]

3. Lindstein (2023 1st) [Two Way D/2-4]
4. Jiricek (2024 1st) [Two Way D/2-4]
5. Stenberg (2023 1st) [Two Way Winger/Mid 6]
6. Bolduc (2021 1st) [Goal Scoring Winger/Mid 6]

7. Buchinger (2022 3rd) [Offensive D/Mid Pair]
8. L. Fischer (2024 2nd) [Defensive D/Mid Pair]
9. Zherenko (2019 7th) [Tandem Goalie]
10. Pekarcik (2023 3rd) [Two Way Foward/Bottom 6]

Ranking between 7-14 are all pretty close.

I think Montreal has better depth as you get lower down the list but hard to argue anyone against San Jose at the very top end

We have a lot of hits (so far) on our list outside of the first round. I think in just the first round that the Sharks are stronger. They have a bunch of absolute gems. We have a few gems and a bunch of 2nd round and lower picks that are on track to pan out much higher than their draft selection position. I think both teams are on a great path and that that one Montreal / San Jose fan on hfboards is a lucky mfer.

Yeah, you guys have definitely drafted much better in the later rounds over the past few years, no argument. Plus you guys have Fowler and we have nothing in terms of real goaltending prospects.

But with that said, doesn’t the top end of a prospect pool mean a lot more than the depth? I feel like if you compared the top-10 guys head to head, the Sharks guys win or tie almost every matchup.

For your second part, usually. When the reaches hit, you never know. Montreal also has a lot of young players that don't count on these lists (in NHL) as I am sure you do as well. It all depends on how they all develop. If Hutson turns into a top 5 talent from his draft it changes things. Ditto for all the others for both teams. You never know when you will find a gem. You are for sure more likely to find that in the top 10 picks but nothing is stopping a team from getting several lucky "hits" in a short period and reaping the benefits.

Would put Dean way above Fischer (don’t think Fischer or Zherenko make my top ten) and Bolduc and Stenberg above Jiricek.

I’d rank them like this:

Dalibor Dvorsky (2023 1st)
Jimmy Snuggerud (2022 1st)
Theo Lindstein (2023 1st)
Zachary Bolduc (2021 1st)
Otto Stenberg (2023 1st)
Adam Jiricek (2024 1st)
Zach Dean (2021 1st / trade)
Michael Buchinger (2022 3rd)
Juraj Pekarcik (2023 3rd)
Adam Jecho (2024 3rd)

Yes, I’m much higher on Jecho than most, and not as high on the rest of our 2024 draft. Sue me.

Don't know Fowler good enough
He forgot Konyushkov.

He's a right handed d that put up the 3rd most points by a 21 and under dman in the KHL. Ironically the other 2 were both by Nikishin. I believe he did. His offense slowed a bit towards the end. If I remember correctly he was his teams most used dman and their captain at 20

He probably boots Fowler out.

The sad part is he has 2 more years left before we get to see him in North America.

Good tier breakdown without being a fan of the habs
