Your team's Center depth chart

1- Suzuki (1B center, good on 200 feet, the only one who produce on a nightly basis. We are one Nick Suzuki away from the last place in the league, basically. Good thing he's made of pure iron)

2- Dach (Streaky, bad on defense, but at least his offensive numbers are getting better)

3- Evans (One of the most underrated player in the league. Low offense but superb on defense and on the red dot)

4- Dvorak (He's gonezo at the end of the season Fo Sho)

One of our strengths in recent years has been our center depth. Really lends itself to the philosophy of building a team around the center position.

Ottawa has a sneaky good center situation. I didn’t even realize Giroux was mainly a winger with them either.

Yeah Ottawa's main weakness is skilled winger depth especially in the top 6. Goaltending is finally an area of strength this season, and defense is middle of the pack in terms of talent, but above average as far as cohesiveness and balance goes. Buffalo has more skill in their defense, but far worse depth and lack of good balance for example.

Thomas - not playing as well as last year
Schenn - playing well this year
Sunqvist - not much left in the twnk
Faksa - quality

Dvorsky on the way next year

The Blues need to keep up the tank and draft one of the centers in the top 7-8 this year like Frondell, Desnoyers, McQueen or O’Brian

8 - Roslovic
… it’s hard to imagine him being given those responsibilities in anything other than a desperate situation.

Well, this escalated quickly.

Aho out tonight against Chicago, and guess who skated at C during practice today.

Brind’Amour chose to keep two lines intact — the Svech-KK-Hall line which has been going well, and the Martinook-Staal-Jarvis line which is the backbone of the Canes’ matchup game.

Roslovic was moved up from a 4th line wing position to fill the gaping hole on the former 1st line between Rantanen and Blake.

Jost centers the 4th line, with Jaaska at wing (seems Rod regards Jaaska as more like the 5th or 6th center in this context).

So sans Aho:
Kotkaniemi
Roslovic
Staal
Jost

If anyone’s looking for a reason the Canes won’t win the Cup, now you have your ammunition.
