your team's biggest concern heading into playoffs

First periods and secondary scoring.

Team has a terrible habit of starting flat and playing from behind. While adding Demidov may help address some concerns about scoring, not having a second line has been a big issue. Hard to know how the young guys will respond to playoff hockey.

Hoping we don't choke in the first round. Winnipeg is eager for a cup finals appearance. Edmonton, Toronto, Calgary, Vancouver, Montreal, and Ottawa... you already had appearances. Winnipeg as a city needs one.

Oilers likely won't have Ekholm for the entire playoffs. Massive blow. Their D is 500 times worse without him in the lineup.

washington's defensive play lately has been kinda suspect (3+ GA in 11 straight).

obviously thompson's injury is a concern as well

The biggest concerns:
1. The power play's annual disappearing act. In the last four years we've had a PP% of 13%, 14%, 25%, and 5%. Guess which year we won a round?

2. Scoring. Despite the narrative our top six has pretty decisively "won" its 5v5 minutes over the past four years. But Marner, for example, won his minutes 3gf to 2ga last year. Not getting scored on is great but when your bottom six is getting pummelled it's not going to cut it. I think our opponents have been happy to give up that type of win if It means sticking our top guys in the mud and going to town on the rest of our lineup.

Hockey gods blew up the Jets with massive injuries all at once, again.

We could lose in the 1st - 2nd round because we would be down to many Real Players... That's hockey, oh well.

There’s a few to choose from for the Oilers, Ekholm injured, McDavid having an off year, Draisaitl’s injury, if Kane doesn’t come back guns blazing the team has NO time for him to find his legs, questionable depth, but the overarching concern for this Oilers fan?

For me Skinner isn’t so much a “concern” as much as he is an Inevitability of Doom. I dread every shot, whether it’s a soft wrister or a screened shot from the blueline lol.

Skinner wouldn’t be a backup goalie on any other team in the league, including San Jose, let alone their starter.

Best Oilers era I’ve watched since I’ve started following them and not only do they have literally the worst professional goalie I’ve ever seen, they’re insistent on calling him a starter. It’s like a blind spot to them that everyone else has no trouble seeing.

Health first. The Oilers are absolutely decimated with injuries, I can’t remember this team ever being hit this hard with injuries.

Goaltending second. Skinner can be good when he’s hot but his lows are so low. Pickard has been the better goalie all year but they seem intent on running Skinner now that he’s back from injury.

Stars biggest concern is how Dumba got almost 4m a year for 2yrs.
We didn't even get a blue chip or 1st round pick. We just did that for no reason.

2nd is how do we shelter the right side of our dcore without Heiskanen
