Monahan is no better than Coyle, aim higher please. Maybe aim at getting Mac a partner that can be near his equal in the playoffs or at least support him. It is not Gryz or Lauzon or anyone else inhouse. Well until Lohrei is ready in a few years.

Agreed. Only Buffalo and maybe Arizona is in worse shape. Embarassing franchise top to bottom. /s

They aren't as bad as those two, and better than some.

But this is not a well run organization under Sweeney, Neely and their "management team."

It's just not.

So you can say analytics, blah effing blah. You can say they've won in the regular season. You can say they have "the Perfection Line."

It's all BS.

Patrice and Brad will be gone, sooner rather than later. No Chara.

No one here except us church mice.

The Bruins under Sweeney and Neely are okay. Just okay.

Okay?

I can't get rid of those two and their management team quickly enough.

This will all end in mediocrity.

At best.

I've never seen Bruce publicly disrespect a player. He always walks evenly. Firm and fair. No controversy. I like him and think he's a damn good coach from my personally perceived outside view.

If insider's disagree that fine because they know more than I. But I'd be disappointed.

I like Bruce, too. He's a good coach.

He, like his bosses, is also alergic to physical play.

"Speed and skill! Speed and skill!"

Physicality is part of that equation, gentlemen.

Ask the last five Stanley Cup champions.

What don't you understand, Don? Cam?

Big Charlie Coyle fan. He should remain 3C.

They better get it together.

"Second C by committee" is garbage.

Coyle, Foligno, and Haula deserve a shot there. They could put up 50-60 points centering that line without Brad or Pasta and people would still be insulting them nonstop on here and saying they are still just a 3rd line center.

Our depth killed us vs the Islanders. I think people will have to be OK that lines 2/3/4 might all be very good and there won't be a clear cut 2nd.

I expect DK back after the Olympics tbh.

Likely not to us though if he signs with a team while there.

People calling Gryz our #1 LD is laughable. The guy is a borderline #4, best suited for a 5-6.

Having him on our top pair assures us we will not get past round 2......having him on our top pair and no Krejci replacement is a slap in the face to Bergy, Marshy, etc.

Sweeney mismanaged this cap like nothing I've ever seen before in my life.
Agree, I would protected Lauzon over the Smurf Gryz and also saved cap space at the same time.

Hell baby
Stud over Staal all day. Dude disappeared in playoffs.

it’s funny you say that because as sad as it is, his “disappearing in the playoffs” was actually better than his play in the regular season. He’s just not a very good player anymore, which is to be expected given the miles on his legs

he’s a 4th liner these days

Dvorak a young two-way center would be ideal, he's perfect number two guy., but unfortunately I think that shipped has sailed once Garland was dealt out with OEL. I know trades can be Hard :sarcasm:

Next years draft there's suppose to be some elite talent and deep but If I could bring in a youg two-way center like Dvorak, that pick is gone. Bruins are close but a dvorak move would make them right there with everyone. Then at the deadline if things are looking for the better, go for it and acquire that top 4 left-side defenseman.

I think I’m good with giving Studnicka a shot at 2C with Hall and Smith. Kid had a bit of a rough season but mostly played out of position on the wing and was only given a 1/4 of a season to break through.. He had a great rookie year in the AHL before that putting up 49pts in 60 games playing 1C. If he doesn’t work out Coyle or Haula can cover the position until we can upgrade.

I also love the idea of a bottom six like this. Stacked.

I absolutely agree. It also helps the Dvorak and Hall have some chemistry

I highly doubt Foligno is on the 4th line.

I haven't seen anyone mention Eric Staal to take Krejci's place. His salary is 3.25M for one more year. Granted he's 36, but he could still contribute, especially setting up in front of the net with Hall and Smith as his wings.
He's a UFA and he is not a 2nd line center. Coyle is better than him at this point.

Just for fun, name me the franchises who would not take the Bruins run over the past 10 years over theirs. I’ll spot you the Lightning, Blackhawks, and the Penguins. How many others?
