think they could make OEL a part of this and keep the 1st?
Russ if we were running the Coyotes in their situation with no first rounder we are telling Sweeney any deal that has Conor Garland heading to the pristine streets of Scituate have to include the first at 20

I have never been really able to wrap my head around the saying ‘having your cake and eat it too’ but I think getting Garland and keeping the first probably is what it means

Dvorak is a #2 C on a very weak team, with us, he would be behind CC.
Can't see us bringing DK back if we are making this deal.
Has been averaging 18 goals and 40 points a year with the Yotes.
We’d be replacing a 60+ point center with a guy who’s never hit 40. That would be an absolute joke.

What happens to Krejci? Does Dvorak play wing for a bit if he comes back? No OEL?

Need that thumbs up!

Marchand - Bergeron - Pastrnak
Hall - Krejci - Smith
Dvorak - Coyle - Someone
Please god a competent 4th line

I assume Debrusk would be a piece going back for Dvorak. If any of our top 3 C's go down with an injury, he can fill in when needed. That's what I would think.

If Krejci doesn't re-sign then he'd take over as 2C I think. Would still very much want Krejci.

I like Dvorak...but if we're not acquiring him to play center, I dont get the rationale in bringing him in.

We had issues playing Debrusk on LW/RW...Coyle C to RW...both utter fail. I dont wanna go through that again.

Lazar is at center and he's competent and then the wings are who the hell knows

I think we need to look at this a bit more closely. In DK's 23/24 year old seasons, his goal numbers were lower than Dvorak's as a comparison. Yes, DK had a ton more assists but he also had players to dish the puck to. In Arizona there hasn't been alot of talent to feed.

What if we need the extra cap space to re sign McAvoy and Pasta but we don’t have enough because we have Suter a 3 year deal with a NTC.
Hypothetically they give Suter 3 years… The Bruins window will not extend beyond the next 2 years (maybe 3). So who cares if Suter is still on the books! By then this team will be rebuilding around McAvoy Pastrnak Swayman. Anyone else can be dealt. There is zero reason the Bruins shouldn’t have cap space for the big contracts incoming for 88 & 73 in a few years time.

Time to go big or go home. Sign Suter, add another left side stud dman, get Garland, add some 4th line pace pushers
